Anita Barone

An actor with many talents who has been relegated mostly to shows on TV, Anita Barone received her most memorable performance in the medium by playing spouse to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which played for one season on ABC in 1995-96. Barone's first appearance on stage was at the age of five in Detroit in the city to which her family relocated after having moved out of St Louis. Barone was a part of more than 50 plays by the age of 23, mostly regional and university theatres as well as for regional productions. She played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in a re-imagining of "Monday after the Miracle" as well as the character in the role of Agnes the teen, tortured character in "Agnes of the Gods." Her first screen appearance was a minor role in "The The Rosary Murders" as well as a small role in "Ricochet" in 1996, as well as her role as the main character in an indie romantic comedy "Just Friends", in 1996. Barone was the first to get a notable Hollywood job as a part of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-91) - - the failed effort to be a part of Carol Burnett in trying to revive the comedy sketch show.
